Swami Vivekananda

 Narendra Nath_dtroved as Swami Vivekananda was born on the 12th of January in 1863 was a prophetic figure in that he made the West sit up and take notice of Indian philosophy and spirituality. One of the direct disciples of Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, he devoted himself to direct the spread of Vedanta, Yoga as well as the principles of service. A fixture in American history, he addressed the Parliament of the World’s Religions in Chicago in 1893: Swami Vivekananda stressed unity in the world of religions.
